Resignation

RESIGNATION Today I feel relived The feeling of worthlessness abated The forever until death is overrated I have never felt so free

We had strayed from the course At least that is what I was told That love had turned cold It was time for a divorce

Feel no remorse At some point we grew apart Yet that is not what breaks a heart For love can never be forced

It is the distance that tears a soul That constantly obsesses the mind So no matter the effort or time The outcome you cannot control

At some point is giving up Accepting the nature of fate And learning to contemplate That it takes two halves to fill a cup
