Senseless

Senseless is to swim against the current Allow your heart to feel hatred To quench a thirst, that is never sated Or use your fist as a deterrent

Senseless is to love what you despise To accept that which hurts your heart To find that you can’t depart Due to issues of pride

Senseless is a child to blame For errors the adult has made To allow the prices paid Like the moth does to the flame

Senseless is to defy your destiny To hide that gift you share To use it to ensnare Those lost for eternity

Senseless is of love partake And invite those to your table To create a blissful fable And burn their heart at the stake

Senseless is a life to taken That privilege is already filled That angel of darkness has the will For death is never forsaken
