Across the Maas River from the town of Wausort, in southern Belgium, is a magical peaceful place, where you can drink the water flowing from the mountain. I imagine it is watched over and protected by a special entity. The woman is painted from a black and white photo, I don't know who she is, but as she is imaginary, does it matter?

Pan’s Labyrinth was in 2006 a movie that impressed by its tragedy as end and was . The story starts with a little girl Ophelia , daughter of a tailor, that follows her mother with her new friend, the commander of the Spanish troop’s. Mother dies in labour, but her child lives. Here it already shows how cruel the commander is by saying, mother might die, but the child must live. Next to this real story it shows the fiction of the labyrinth. The faun tells Ofelia that opening the portal, where her kingdom is to the underworld and requires the blood of an innocent. He tells her to bring her baby brother into the labyrinth. A must see Oscar winning movie, which brought me to this picture, where Ophelia and the elves going into the labyrinth, behind “Pan”.

Today the world lies on a balance.
I hope it doesn’t reach the ground.
Everybody knows about our planet,
that is for sure not save and sound.

We kill it with our self-destruction,
open up the chimney’s… smog.
The treaty signed once in Kyoto,
it shows one president… had soon forgot.

With twitter words he made it happen,
that now the world is flaming red.
Not even spoken of the amendment,
that makes some lunatics shooting people… death.

How many victims must have fallen,
before these killings take their end. ,
Not even spoken of the poorest people,
where all the rich fill up their pants

With Christmas we’re all together
in a town called Bethlehem.
He made it now the Jewish capital.
Made it a war that will never end!

As last year the world does rumble,
the world gets ruled by lunatics.
Kim Yong Un and Trump and ISIS
make it like a bomb that ticks.

Time for New Year and a Christmas
To show how mankind has to be
Wishing… all a Merry Christmas
and a world to live in peace.

In New Orleans they call it Mardi Gras, what here is called the Carnaval.
It comes from Italian “carnem levare” and means the taking away from the flesh.
It came up around the 11th and the 12th century where people could fill there belly. with meat and drinks before they started the abstention before the days to Easter.
The church did not agree at first and people worn masks to make them foolish.
Pieter Bruegel a famous dutch painter made a picture where he shows it around 1559.

Swimming free inside the oceans,
another year has passed us bye.
We’ve seen no peace and there was hunger
and seen beloved ones that just died.

We looked at people that were frightened,
because what Allah's told, this was not meant.
With all their bombing and beheading,
They scare a world, the hell out me.

We also seen in few elections,
where foreign people should be strange.
The one’s we onetime called our neighbor,
pass us bye without a name.

We look at Trump, Le Pen and Wilders,
the ones enlighten whole the world.
Pacific’s waves come in with thunder
and shout for dark nights when they’re heard.

As in a church of unbelievers,
they follow them and give them votes.
Without the knowing of a future,
I wonder if this still my home.

I am simple in the things I’m writing,
but know what in a human burns.
It is the heart of a believer,
That morns of all those people hurt.

Wishing all who dream of a better world and
A Happy New Year, in health and prosperity.
