Masquerade

©Seth F. Weaver, Sr. 09/01/14. In life many people we approach are hiding behind masks that are intended to protect them from social invasion. They wear these masks (appearance, manners, snobbish behavior, aloofness, etc.) because without them they seem in their minds that they are too vulnerable to society. The biggest fear is that they might be unmasked publicly and scorned. Perhaps to be thought of as if they are intellectually gifted and then revealed to like everyone else in the world. I think of all the politicians who promise their countries great things but when it comes time to deliver they are helpless and inept. People wear masks to hide their hidden agendas and when they think no one is watching they spring them on the unsuspecting. A Compullage™ creation. In my GRID series.
