This is dedicated to all the people who immigrate from their native countries and embrace new cultures and languages. The thrill of a new life and the fact that you have communication issues must be daunting, my respect for their courage and wanting a better life for their family is understandable. My daughter-in-law is from Peru. She is multilingual in English and Spanish and can go from one language to the other at the snap of a finger. My language switch was broken a long time ago and she laugh at me when I make up Spanglish words like casa de peepee for el banyo. This work is dedicated to Mapi Galan, my model and Katia M.
