The Snows Are Melting....

After record winter snows and a colder than normal spring, it seemed as though the mountain trails would never open up. The rivers are high and there is avalanche dangers because of the high temps of last weekend, but places are beginning to open up, if you are smart about your choices. Yesterday was our 1st official visit to the mountains and I can tell you my soul was soooo ready. This is Skookum Falls from a viewpoint on the highway...not our destination for the day, but we had to stop and admire the volume of water coming over the mountainside. It was an awesome site!! (The swollen White River is at the bottom of the 2nd photo.) The snows are finally melting, thank God!!! This is just the beginning of some fantastic adventures for my husband and I....join us!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!
